The global gathering of the world's editors - be part of it!

Introduction to Event

Daily News from the World Editors Forum!

WAN-IFRA will be providing live coverage (in English) during the World Editors Forum on the World Newspaper Week Blog. Please check back for update, and follow us on twitter: #wef2011

With the Congress and Editors Forum just days away, we've moved from online registration to registration in Vienna -- you can register onsite at the Reed Messe Vienna, site of the global meetings of the world's press.

The evening events are already fully booked, so we are afraid we can't guarantee a seat there. We apologise for that. But there is still plenty of room in the business sessions and we're happy to welcome you to the conferences.

Thank you very much and hope to see you in Vienna!

The editor as innovator, as businessman, as the centre of the community, and more: the 2011 World Editors Forum in Vienna will explore these multiple facets of an editor’s job and look at how he/she can excel at each but still maintain a key focus on good content.

The digital world of news is rapidly changing and the opportunities for newspapers, as well as the challenges that accompany them, are undergoing constant evolution. How can newspapers continue to fulfill their core mission of producing high quality journalism, and even improve on it, despite the myriad of new responsibilities of their editors?
