Christian Ortner is Editor-in-Chief of Vorarlberger Nachrichten. He studied law and had worked as a freelance journalist with the paper until his graduation.

From 1997 until 2001 he was manager of the Austrian first league-football club Austria Lustenau. He then moved to the Vorarlberger Medienhaus, where after one year as an assistant to publisher Eugen A. Russ he became Editor-in-Chief of the company’s flagship paper in September 2002.
